Honeypot.is scope
Honeypot.is documents a GET IsHoneypot endpoint that accepts a token address, optional chain and pair controls, and returns simulation-oriented data including honeypot result and buy/sell tax details.
Its Base web scanner also presents market pairs, holders, and simulation results. A negative honeypot result is useful execution evidence, but its own site warns that conditions can change.
Jepeta scope
Jepeta requires explicit honeypot and mintability evidence from GoPlus, adds tax, observed holder concentration, observed LP-lock coverage, exact matching Base liquidity from DEX Screener, data quality and source status, then applies PASS/WARN/BLOCK policy.
It also publishes OpenAPI, agent and LLM discovery files plus stable HTML and JSON evidence pages for selected published snapshots.
How to choose
Use the tool that matches the question. A simulation-focused honeypot check is useful when sellability is the primary concern. A policy gate is useful when you want multiple evidence dimensions turned into deterministic stop, review, or continue input.
For higher assurance, using multiple independent sources can be more informative than treating any single scanner as an oracle.
